HORN earned top honors after being named the 2013 BASF Kaolin “Distributor of the Year.” A seven-time winner of the award, HORN’s sales growth was up by 36.9 percent over the previous year, contributing to its overall achievement.

“HORN is the role model for all of our distributors, truly in a class of their own,” said Jan Jeffries, sales director BASF Kaolin Americas. “The HORN team is reliable and has remained consistent in their commitment to our partnership. We consider HORN to be the best of the best, so we proudly name them our top distributor in 2013.”

BASF Kaolin presented the accolade to HORN during an all-distributor meeting which coincided with the American Coatings Show in Atlanta on April 8. Accepting the award on behalf of HORN was Bob Ahn, president, HORN Industrial Division and Vince Anderson, vice president, HORN Coatings and Building Materials.

“Earning this award from our longest-standing principal supplier is a true honor,” said Anderson. “It is a privilege to support BASF in serving our valued customers and industry throughout the years. They are loyal and supportive partners with unmatched technical and commercial support that set us up for success. We humbly accept this award and will continue to aim higher than the precedent in serving our esteemed partners.”

HORN has been representing BASF in the Western U.S. for more than 25 years and has a longstanding partnership with the organization for more than 45 years. HORN’s previous award wins for this award includes the years 2011, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004 and 2001.

This announcement marks the third accolade from a principal supplier recognizing HORN with top honors for outstanding performance in 2013.
